The Rutgers University Debate Union (RUDU) is always looking for new members–no debate or speaking experience is required. Our full-time coach and experienced senior members will be more than happy to get you caught up to speed with the format of parliamentary debate and there are plenty of meetings and practice rounds to help hone your skills.

Due to unprecedented interest, this year we are holding tryouts for the first time. To try out, you will be asked to give a three-minute speech on one of three topics we provide, arguing for a particular position. If you are interested in joining the team, please fill out a timeslot with your name in this Google Spreadsheet.

Tryouts are held in room 212 in the School of Communications and Information on September 9-11 from 9pm to 12am.
